After five years, Carl-Henrik Borg, the Chief Executive Officer of leading Swedish property website, Hemnet.se, is stepping down and the search is already underway to find his successor
Carl-Henrik Borg, CEO of Sweden’s leading property website, Hemnet.se, is stepping down at the end of July.
Mr Borg has served as Chief Executive Officer since January 2009 and has helped website traffic double to up to 2.1million unique visitors a week. A search is currently underway for his successor.
Mr Borg says, “I am very thankful for my time at Hemnet and proud of what we have achieved together. It has been a privilege, along with talented employees, to build Hemnet into Sweden’s largest housing site. We have jointly achieved all the goals we set when I started and it feels like a natural time to hand over.”
When Mr Borg began work, Hemnet had just two employees and it now has 45. Turnover has risen from SEK22million (US$3.36million) to SEK120million (US$18.3million) in 2013 and its unique visitor numbers have doubled.
