After a US$36million land deal, work can start on Miami’s luxury One Thousand Museum – and overseas buyers have already snapped up more than a third of the luxury homes costing from US$5million
More than one-third of homes in a planned luxury ‘six star’ Miami tower development have already been sold off-plan to overseas buyers, say the developers.
The 62-storey One Thousand Museum building is planned to be ‘six star’ luxury residential tower with 83 units starting from US$5million. Foreign buyers have come from Latin America, Europe, the UK, the Middle East and Asia.
The landmark tower will feature four residential zones including duplex half floor residences, flat half-floor residences, flat full-floor penthouses and a single duplex penthouse with an indoor private pool and direct access to Miami’s first residential helipad.
It also includes a Sky Lounge and sun and swim terrace with a Wellness & Spa area opening onto the surrounding pool and terraces created by renowned Swiss landscape architect, Enzo Enea.
Louis Birdman and Gregg Covin’s 1000 Biscayne Tower LLC has just purchased the remaining parcel of the Downtown Miami two-property site in a US$36million cash transaction and has announced its partnership with the Regalia Group as co-developer.
The One Thousand Museum development will be the first residential tower in the western hemisphere designed by London-based architect, Zaha Hadid.
Mayi De La Vega, founder and CEO of One Sotheby’s International Realty in South Florida, which is the exclusive sales agency, says, “Closing on the land at One Thousand Museum is incredibly exciting. Work can now start in earnest on the site to create this one-off development.
“This is the first residential tower in Miami designed by an architect of Hadid’s international standing with the level of amenities this extraordinary building will provide. Iconic architecture, stunning skyline and ocean views, and close proximity to Miami’s finest cultural quarter, will position One Thousand Museum as one of the world’s most coveted residential towers.”
The partnership between Regalia and 1000 Biscayne Tower LLC was formed in May, after Regalia completed a 46-storey luxury condo tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.
Kevin Venger, speaking for the developers, says, “One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid Architects is truly Miami’s premier new tower and will be known on a global scale. We are proud to bring the financial strength and south Florida luxury high-rise experience to ensure successful completion of such a landmark project.”
Louis Birdman adds, “One Thousand Museum by Zaha Hadid is leading Miami residential design into a new era by fusing art with architecture. We are thrilled to work with Zaha Hadid and her team, who have the unparalleled vision to create iconic architecture for this growing global city.”
