The RLI is waiving its US$195 2015 fee for all international land professionals outside North America who want to join the body for the first time
Free membership is being offered to international land professionals who want to join the Realtors Land Institute (RLI).
The free 2015 membership is for new international members who want to join the RLI, which specialises in all segments of land—agriculture, timber, ranch, recreation, vacant, land management, appraisal, commercial, auction, legal, investments and corporate.
Land practitioners who live and work outside of the United States and Canada for more than nine months of the year are eligible to join the Realtors Land Institute as international members, with the 2015 membership dues of US$195 being waived.
The offer has been made to welcome land professionals from around the world and help promote the institute’s new international membership that builds the knowledge and professionalism for land experts globally.
International members have the opportunity to earn one of the first international Accredited Land Consultant (ALC) designations, which has previously only been available to North American members.
Through the Institute’s LANDU curriculum, the RLI confers the Accredited Land Consultant designation to real estate practitioners who achieve the highest levels of education, experience, productivity and professionalism.
ALCs earn around US$373,925 per year, which is about US$100,000 more than those without the designation, according to figures from a 2013 RLI study.
The Realtors Land Institute is affiliated to the National Association of Realtors.
