TV reality star Kim Kardashian is in Australia to promote her new perfume, but she is also sniffing out the AUS$5million Turtle Island with agency, Coldwell Banker, according to media reports
TV reality star Kim Kardashian, in Australia to promote her new perfume, is reportedly sniffing out the purchase of the AUS$5million Turtle Island.
Various media reports say the star of Keeping up with the Kardashians, who is promoting her Fleur Fatale perfume, and husband Kanye West want to buy the private island for daughter North West and site a theme park there.
Coldwell Banker’s Richard Vanhoff, in charge of managing the sale of the island, has confirmed he is in talks with a high-profile celebrity, but refuses to confirm who that is, according to the Daily Nation.
“I can clearly say that I am in negotiations with an overseas party. The overseas party is a high profile person but I cannot name names. I can’t confirm whether it’s Kanye West or Kim Kardashian or President Obama,” Mr Vanhoff says.
Mr Vanhoff is described as Australia’s Number One island and resort specialist, having sold Great Keppel Island Resort for $20million, as well as Pumpkin Island, Bamborough Island and Long Island.
In May 2014, the island was listed for AUS$5.7million, but the asking price has since been reduced to AUS$5million. Actress, Julia Roberts inquired about the island last year, but did not buy it.
“This is the 23.25 acre island that Julia Roberts missed out on owning prior to the current owners purchasing the Island 8 years ago. This truly is a private Island fit for a movie star or recluse celebrity,” says Mr Vanhoff in the the Coldwell Banker listing.
It includes a four bedroom, five bathroom mansion, tropical botanical gardens, pool, private jetty and helipad.
“The main house has one of the largest kitchens that I have seen, with enough cooking and preparation area that could cater for the biggest celebrity party or just enough for that hungry family, says Mr Vanhoff.
The property has 15 huge fresh water tanks and two dams and power is provided by solar panel collectors and a powerful diesel generator.
The image of Turtle Island comes from Coldwell Banker and the picture of Kim Kardashian is from photographer, Glenn Francis.
