With approaching 1,000 local agents registered so far, organisers are confidently hailing the inaugural OPPLive Asia a success.
The two-day show which begins tomorrow (Wednesday) in Singapore has seen a significant number of estate agents from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand registering to view products on offer, primarily from Western developers.
The business-to-business exhibition has attracted global players including JLL and Hamptons. The background is that market cooling measures within Singapore have reduced the attractiveness of Singaporean properties and encouraged investors to look at buying property abroad. The show will introduce local agents to the products they might sell abroad, as well as educating them on the opportunities (and the risks and need-to-knows) when switching to the international market.
A local buzz has been growing about the show, with local TV interviews and extensive coverage in the local property and investment press.
