An empty plot of land in Dorset has been put up for sale with the eye-watering asking price of £6.25 million. This no ordinary plot of land, though: it is located in Sandbanks, a peninsula crossing Poole Harbour on the English Channel.
The desirable location offers beautiful views and holds limited space for development, conditions which have made it the fourth most expensive place in the world, notes The Daily Mail, with celebrities such as Harry and Jamie Redknapp living there.
Dubbed “Milloinaires’ Row”, the area is no stranger to such high prices – even though the land in question is priced at £2million more than when it once contained two homes.
If sold at asking price, the land would be worth £1,161 per square foot, ranking the empty plot alongside a whole estate on Perthshire’s Loch Rannoch, which includes a castle, swimming pool and 12 additional villas.
